Stargazing

The cottage is in the centre the dark skies park, so stargazing is inevitable. If you would like to take part in a more structured experience the
Kielder Observatory offers a range of events – but make sure that you book in advance as they are very popular!

Walking and Cycling

There are lots of local walks around the cottage to enjoy. Whether you want to take a short stroll or have a hike through the hills there is something for everyone, with plenty to see along the way from bastles and burns to hay meadows and woodlands.

Kielder Forest Park

Kielder Water and Forest Park is situated a 15 minute drive from the cottage.
Boasting super off-road tracks and scenic family-friendly paths, Kielder is great for cycling groups of all sizes and abilities.

Hadrian’s Wall

Less than a 30 minute drive away is the World Heritage site of Hadrian’s Wall.
